According to Planned Parenthood, about 10 percent of teenage girls in the States get pregnant before the age of 20. Teenagers have to know the values of dating, self-respect and respect for the other person. As a parent, make yourself available for them. When they attend parties, make sure that you are there to pick them up. Do not be over protective though! Let your teen know that you are doing it out of love but show trust and faith in your words and actions. Learning to strike the right balance is the key.
