The self-centered generation

The self-centered generationGeneration after generation the quality, behavior and attitude of a person changes. They forget their human virtues , how to behave with the elders , their own age group etc. They does'nt care for others. They think themselves as superiors but they are the inferiors.

Yes, it is true that they are more advanced than their parents, but they become day by day irational. They forget their own parents. Whenever their parents give good advices they refuge it. And say :-Leave me I know what to do? and what not to do? They actually does'nt have respect for their parents. They never understand their parents.

It is also true in some family if a child does'nt want to do any thing; the parent's force them to do that. It happens in many family if a child secure bad marks, he/ she get shouting, beating some kind of torture. But we the children are mactured now, we can decide what is good and what is bad for us. But,still we must keep our parents happy. If they does'nt understand us we will try to convience them. We mustn't be in deppresion and not commit any type of sui-cite.

As we are the human-beings to whom god had created by giving rational qualities to make the society free from all kind of difficulties . But in today's world everything happens for money. No one cares for poor and needy people. Everyone had become selfish in this world. Therefore I would like to say that we must care for everyone, we should respect them, talk with them politely take good decision whenever such kind of situation comes.

We must remember that to be too much good or to be too much bad is also not a good thing. We must be equal to everyone. There's is a time to rove and a time to rest. Remembering this we must lead a happy life.

Teenage Dating - Be There Always For Your Teen

Teenage Dating: Be There Always For Your TeenIf you have a preteener, it is important for you to be there always when your child becomes a teenager and gets interested in dating. Girls are more frank about dating at a younger age than boys. There is no way to avoid it. You have to let your kid go dating. This is where parenting skills and attitude come into play.

In view of the internet age, so much information about dating is available at the fingertips of your teenage kid. You should try to have a one on one talk with your child about the subject of dating. If you wish your teenager to pass through the adolescent stage with a strong foundation, be a good role model. Be a parent, close friend, adviser and supporter. Start bonding with your teenager often as life goes on.

Dating is a period of social interaction for teenagers. It is the time when they become conscious of their clothes, their hairstyle, blemishes on their face, changes in their bodies and so many. They become fond of musical variety shows and start having crushes. At first, your teenager will ask your permission to go malling with friends or attend some birthday or special parties.

By the end of the week, you may be surprised to know that your teenager already has some crushes. The child may be tempted to date secretly, learn to smoke, play cards, drink alcohol, take a sniff of cocaine and these are the realities and temptations teenager face. If you do not monitor, your teen may end up dating the wrong person.

Teen dating is a wonderful time where self-image is developed. If you are not adequately equipped with the right strategem and foundational materials, knowledge and wisdom on how to deal with your teenage child when it comes to dating, you and your spouse may find yourselves abetting or compromising on some important issues.

According to Planned Parenthood, about 10 percent of teenage girls in the States get pregnant before the age of 20. Teenagers have to know the values of dating, self-respect and respect for the other person. As a parent, make yourself available for them. When they attend parties, make sure that you are there to pick them up. Do not be over protective though! Let your teen know that you are doing it out of love but show trust and faith in your words and actions. Learning to strike the right balance is the key.

Teens And Driving: Age Appropriate?

Teens And Driving: Age Appropriate? If you're like me, you couldn't wait to get your license when you turned sixteen. And I was fortunate enough to have all of my driver's education out of the way by my sixteenth birthday so that on the day in question I was able to go down to the DMV and get my license.

I also remember less than a couple of hours later, the first time I was able to get out of visual range and earshot of my parents, which coincides with the exact moment I thought "Let's see what this thing will do."

Flash forward a couple of decades and my own daughter was fast approaching driving age. I thought I would have forgotten my youthful thrill seeking exploits, but unfortunately they were all too clear in my mind. Needless to say, I wasn't exactly breathless with anticipation over the thought of turning my daughter loose on the roads by herself.

Fortunately for me and my well jangled nerves, my daughter backed off the idea of getting her license at 16, deciding that she was not quite ready for that particular gig just yet. She waited for a year, got her license at 17, and has gone on to become one of the safest and most responsible drivers I know, coming up on two years without so much as a warning ticket to show for it.

So should the driving age be raised? And if so, how much? 17? 18? 21 (which seems to be the milestone by which all other adult activities are measured)?
Teenagers do get into more than their share of accidents, which would seem to suggest that inexperience combined with a lack of maturity is a recipe for disaster. However, there are also professional teenage drivers in everything from NHRA to NASCAR.

I would like to suggest that the age for drivers' permits be raised to 16, with a two year probationary period during which the new driver can gain experience and confidence while being accompanied by a parent. At the age of 18 a full license would be granted. New drivers would benefit from the extra experience and we would hopefully see a decrease in teen car accidents, at least those that are obviously caused by poor judgment as the result of immaturity.

And I am not alone in my conclusions, as the Institute for Highway Safety has also endorsed the idea of a higher legal driving age, citing car crashes as the leading cause of death among teenagers.

One study from the 1990s found that the rate of crash-related deaths among 16- and 17-year olds were 18 per 100,000 in New Jersey, compared with 26 per 100,000 in Connecticut. Those rates, researchers said, have dropped even further since both states instituted graduated driver's license programs.

I think we all want what is best for our children, and while we understand their desire to learn to drive and exercise some measure of independence, sometimes telling them "no" or "wait" is far more beneficial.
